Building
a Superior Healthcare System
From 1 to 3 May 2005, the Global Medical Forum Foundation met
at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The opening was a
spectacular display and analysis of the incredible potential
for healthcare in the region. The three days of the meeting
delved into the nature of how to build a superior healthcare
system, from centers of excellence to research capacity. |

Frontiers in Healthcare
GMF IV took place in Zurich, Switzerland. 170 leaders from 21
different countries gathered together to try better to understand
where healthcare stands today and, at the same time, to begin

Solidarity
and Consumer Choice: Design Principles for EU Healthcare Systems
On 4 February 2005 in Berlin, the first European Summit of the
Global Medical Forum Foundation compared and contrasted the
German and U.S. debate over consumer driven care to begin to
formulate an agenda and design matrix for EU healthcare systems'
drive to slow costs. |

is the Truth Abouth the Cost & Utilization of Medical Technology
in Europe vs. the US?
On 3 December 2004, the Global Medical Forum Foundation met
in the Hall of Flags at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington
DC to discuss the following question: What is the Truth About
the Cost and Utilization of Medical Technology in Europe vs.
the U.S.? The meeting presented a unique comparison of the evolving
American and European methods and strategies for paying for
medical technology. |
